Sessions are booked between Thursday and Saturday. Dates and times may vary due to availability.

I'll guide you through a wide range of making processes. Preparing clay, construction, decorative textures and glazing techniques. With this ground knowledge we can develop a focused project, towards the end of your course which is tailored to your own particular interests, sculpture or functional wear.

Week 1 - Wedging, throwing on the wheel, pinch pot tea cup, slip application.

Week 2 - Introduction to underglazes and oxides decoration, slab dish and impressions onto wooden formers. Designs created with tile cutters onto paper.

Week 3 - Slab construction, incising formed tea light, butter dish or toast rack option makes. Review different clay types, moulds and coiling with the extruder.

Week 4 - Tile making sgraffito, decoration onto pre-fired tiles using underglaze materials.

Week 5 - Large make focus discussed.

Week 6 - Glaze application
